The enemy's within
I may be showing my age by admitting I heard the following on terrestrial radio the other day. The Trump administration has produced a series of Public Service Announcements so vile the broadcasters played a disclaimer immediately afterward (It makes me wonder if these are truly PSA’s—while the FCC requires radio stations to play a certain number of PSA’s daily, the station has a choice as to which).
I'm Kristi Noem, the United States Secretary of Homeland Security. Thank you, President Donald J. Trump, for securing our border, for deporting criminal, illegal immigrants and for putting America first.
This ad was produced less than three weeks into Trump’s second term. A premature “MISSION ACCOMPLISHED,” out of the W. Bush playbook.
President Trump has a clear message for those that are in our country illegally. Leave now. If you don't, we will find you and we will deport you. You will never return.
It seems to me the whole reason for this exercise is that preventing people from entering somewhere with over 4,200 miles of land borders, 12,000 miles of coastline, and 470 international airports is quite difficult. Thus the threat “You will never return,” rings hollow.
For too long, weak politicians left our borders wide open. They flooded our communities with drugs, human trafficking and violent criminals. They put American lives at risk. Well, those days are over.
Nothing says “Trump” like exaggeration and laying blame. Trump engaged in sex trafficking while on Jeff Epstein’s island. One of Epstein’s victims, Virginia Giuffre—16 at the time—was recruited from Mar-a-Lago. She committed suicide last week. It’s the second suicide of known participants in the case—both of which happened while Trump was in office, the first time was during his first term. Trump promised the release of the Epstein files, but AG Pam Bondi—who originally cut Epstein a deal in the case—only released previously-released flight logs. There is much more information available—everything gathered for what was to be a federal prosecution, back when the Department of Justice was still quasi-independent.
If you leave now, you may have an opportunity to return and enjoy our freedom and live the American dream. But understand this. Under President Trump, America's borders are closed to lawbreakers.
Unless you have $5 million in cash to buy a Trump Gold Card, then you have proven a Trump-level capacity for lawbreaking.
Follow the law and you'll find opportunity. Break it and you'll find consequences. The choice is yours. America welcomes those who respect our laws. Because a strong nation is a safe nation.
So says the mouthpiece about the 34-times convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, and head honcho at Coup Americaine. Respect for law is topmost among priorities in this administration, as they dispose of Due Process, kidnap legal immigrants, and ship them to prisons in El Salvador and now Libya.
Meanwhile, Noem herself has undergone a makeover worthy of a moll on the lam.


While Noem cosplays sexy cop, others have noted that actual first responders and military members, male and female, keep their hair shorter. Firefighters cannot have loose hair that might catch fire, EMT’s cannot have hair falling all over a prone accident victim, and cops cannot have hair long enough to be grabbed by a suspect. The hair is a cover—it makes the human rights violations she engages in seem lesser offenses—the cultural passivity of the feminine is being exploited.
There is an “International” version of the Noem propaganda, but like the “Domestic” version cited above, it is in English.
These PSA’s are for English-speakers, not recent immigrants from Central or South America, or East Asia. That is why Trump is thanked in them. Undocumented immigrants (bullshit to the contrary) do not vote and are not MAGA. These radio ads are for American listeners.
The administration’s choice to go hard at immigrants, to stage public raids, to produce photos of Latinos being marched onto military planes, to bring American eyes into CECOT, to deny the ability to correct for errors—all of it was to throw a blanket of terror across the nation.
Last week, the administration announced a new incentive for immigrants who self-deport: The promise of $1,000 cash. Of course, no one in their right mind would trust this offer is legitimate, especially after seeing the administration toss people into foreign slave camps (No matter how it seems to white Americans, Venezuelans are not the same as Salvadorans, and Latinos know this). Perhaps Trump’s idea is that every Gold Card purchased by a Russian gangster buys 5,000 voluntary deportations of poorer people. Of course, by starting with shock and awe, the soft-handed approach will be rejected out of hand. It was the least-efficient way of encouraging people to leave—they should have gone with an amnesty period (with cash bonus) to start.
But then, their goal is to terrorize the American people, not to effectively deal with undocumented migrants.
